In the heart of Hong Kong’s bustling Central district, Lasvit introduces "In Bloom," a site-specific glass light installation that breathes life into The Henderson, a striking new building designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. Spanning 4.5 meters in diameter, this dynamic sculpture represents a pulsating heart of the building.
Inspired by Nature, Born from the City
Michaela Mertlová, the Lasvit designer behind "In Bloom," found inspiration in the unique contrast between Hong Kong’s vibrant urban landscape and its lush natural surroundings. Drawing on her two years of experience in the city, she designed an abstract flower that evokes a sense of movement, flowing through the lobby.
Every Detail Energized by Light
Showcasing the artistry and technical expertise of Lasvit’s team, the installation flickers and shifts with dynamic lighting, much like the flutter of wings or a heartbeat. With components of slumped glass with various finishes and ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 meters, the piece radiates energy, adding a dynamic layer to the building’s fluid design.

At the heart of "In Bloom" lies the symbolic dragonfly—an embodiment of wisdom, harmony, and prosperity in Asian culture. Its wings form a radiant, abstract flower, inviting contemplation and reflection.
